1966 Jeep Gladiator with a 6.4 L Hemi V8
This 1966 Jeep Gladiator was built by Vigilante 4×4 in Johnson City, Texas. Under the blue hood is a naturally aspirated 6.4 L Hemi V8 making 485 hp (356 kW) and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of torque. The company backed that with a McLeod RXT hydraulic clutch and TR-6060 six-speed manual transmission. From there torque is split by an Atlas II transfer case to a Currie Dana 44 front axle and Currie Dana 60 rear axle. The truck sits on Vigilante’s chassis with 4-link front and rear suspension. Bumps are handled by a set of Fox Racing 2.0 shocks with remote reservoirs and Eibach springs. It stops thanks to Baer six-piston calipers and drilled/ventilated 14-inch rotors front and back. Covering those are 18×9-inch steel wheels with dog dish caps.
