This Mazda RX-8 arrived at TRS Racing in Poland without the factory 1.3 L 13B-MSP two-rotor. The company was tasked with swapping a new engine. TRS Racing installed a 2.4 L Honda K-series inline-four on custom mounts and a notched subframe. The motor features a K24A3 bottom-end with a K20 head. They estimate it will make approximately 240 hp on an Ecumaster EMU ECU. Behind the motor is an adapter plate allowing it retain the RX-8 six-speed manual transmission and rear differential. TRS Racing also rebuilt the brakes and installed polyurethane bushings in the front control arms.
