McLaughlin-Buick Hot Rod with a Jaguar V12
This custom 1926 McLaughlin-Buick hot rod was built in the 1980’s. It is powered by a 5.3 L V12 from a 1972 Jaguar XKE with four SU carburetors and open exhaust headers. The V12 is paired to a three-speed automatic transmission and Jaguar independent rear end. Everything sits on a custom chassis with a dropped axle, tranverse leaf springs, and drum brakes in front. In back there is an independent rear suspension from a 1972 Jaguar XKE with inboard Wilwood disc brakes. The 15-inch wheels hold Nankang tires in front and Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires in back. The interior features Pontiac seats, steel dash with Smith gauges, and wood-rimmed steering wheel. The unique car is for sale on Bring a Trailer located in Loomis, California.
