SDPC Raceshop built a naturally aspirated 440 ci LTx V8 with a 15:1 compression ratio for testing. The team started with a Gen 5 LSx aluminum block and installed cast iron sleeves bored to 4.125 inches, 4.125-inch crankshaft, Wiseco pistons with custom domes, Molnar forged steel rods, and a custom camshaft. On top SDPC Raceshop added custom ported COPO LT1 heads, upgraded LT4 titanium intake valves, SDPC dual-spring kit, and CHE Precision trunnion kit. They also installed a Petersen R4 external oil pump and Meziere electric water pump. On the dyno the combo made 837 hp at 8,700 rpm and 641 lb-ft of torque at 6,100 rpm.
