Pontiac Trans Am with a 690 whp 468 ci V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Vengeance Racing was tasked with upgrading this fourth-generation Pontiac Trans Am for road racing. Under the hood they installed a 468 ci (7.6L) LSx V8 built by Late Model Engines sitting on a UMI Performance F-Body Road Race K-member. The motor features forged internals, Brodix BS7 ported six-bolt heads, LME dual throttle body billet intake manifold, and American Racing 2-inch longtube headers. A Holley Dominator ECU controls a set of Vengeance Racing 1000 cc injectors being fed by two DeatschWerks 350 lph pumps in a surge tank and Racetronix 255 lph pump in the fuel tank. It is kept lubricated by a Daily Engineering 3-stage billet dry sump system and ARE 3-gallon oil tank. Behind the V8 is a Quartermaster triple-disc clutch, Samsonas six-speed sequential transmission, and Heidts F-body independent rear end. On Vengeance Racing’s Dyno Jet, the car made 690 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque to the wheels.
