A reader shared this interesting 2005 Toyota Crown (GRS184) from a completed Yahoo Japan auction. The sedan originally came with a 3.5 L 2GR-FSE V6 making 311 hp (232 kW) and 278 lb-ft (377 Nm) of torque and a A760E six-speed automatic transmission. Eventually the builder swapped the factory powertrain for one taken from a 2011 Lexus IS F. That means it is now powered by a 5.0 L 2UR-GSE V8 making 416 hp (305 kW) and 371 lb-ft (503 Nm) of torque. Behind the V8 is an AA80E eight-speed automatic transmission and Torsen limited-slip differential. The Crown rides on the IS F suspension with a set of Mark X springs and shocks. The builder also swapped the IS F steering wheel, dash, and console.
