1969 Camaro with a 1000 hp Supercharged V8

Ringbrothers spent 6,500 hours tearing down and rebuilding this 1969 Camaro. The unique project called “Strode” combines modern composites, 3D printing, and supercharged V8 power.

In the engine bay Ringbrothers lowered a supercharged 416 ci (6.8L) LS3 V8. The motor features forged pistons and rods, Melling oil pump, ported heads, 2.9 L Whipple supercharger, and Holley Dominator EFI. The combo makes 1,000+ horsepower and 850+ lb-ft of torque.

Beside each side of the V8 are custom headers by Ringbrothers leading to Flowmaster 44 SS mufflers. The supercharged V8 sends power through a Bowler T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission to a John’s Industries 9-inch rear end.

The most striking modification is the custom carbon fiber widebody. Ringbrothers also made carbon fiber bumpers, diffuser, valances, and spoiler. The body is covered in BASF Glasurit Ghost White paint. Under the widened fenders are Ringbrothers Edition G-code HRE wheels (19×11, 20×12.5) with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (295/35, 345/30).

The Camaro rides on a Roadster Shop chassis with Detroit Speed Hydroformed front subframe and QuadraLink 4-link rear suspension. Each corner has a QA1 adjustable shock and Baer 6S six-piston brake.

On the inside they turned to Upholstery Unlimited for a custom leather interior. Ringbrothers installed their carbon fiber steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges, and Vintage Air Gen 4 system. They removed the rear seat and fabricated a roll cage to protect the occupants.
