1966 Sunbeam Alpine with a Ford V8
This 1966 Sunbeam Alpine originally came with a 1725 cc (1.7L) inline-four. It now has double the cylinders and triple the power. In the engine bay is a 302 ci Ford V8 with Sealed Power 9.7:1 forged pistons, Comp Xtreme Energy roller camshaft, Air Flow Research aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake manifold, and Holley 600-cfm carburetor. Exhaust is routed through Hooker headers to 2.5-inch stainless steel side exhaust. Behind the motor is a T5 five-speed manual transmission and Dana 44 rear end with an Auburn Gear limited-slip differential and 3.08 gears. The Alpine’s suspension features a BMW Z3 steering rack, KYB shocks, and custom traction bars. Behind the VTO 15×7-inch wheels are front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
