1968 Camaro with a Supercharged LSA V8
This 1968 Camaro arrived at V8 Speed and Resto Shop covered in new red paint. They were tasked with upgrading the powertrain and suspension without making a scratch. Under the modified hood they swapped a supercharged 6.2 L LSA V8 on Muscle Rod mounts. The crate motor produces 556 hp and 551 lb-ft of torque and produces a wonderful sound through a custom exhaust with electric cutouts. The rest of the powertrain consists of a TR6060 six-speed manual transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end. V8 Speed and Resto Shop improved the car’s handling thanks to a Ridetech front suspension and four-link rear suspension. They also installed a Detroit Speed sway bar along with Ridetech’s adjustable coilovers. Wilwood six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes assisted by a Hydratech brake booster help keep the increased power in check. View more photos of the project in the build album.
