1965 VW Single Cab with a Twin-Turbo Subaru Flat-Six Update

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Todd Budde has spent the last two years transforming a rusty 1965 VW Single Cab pulled from a river at his company FabFitters in La Vernia, Texas. The countless hours of hard work culminated when Todd debuted the project at SEMA 2018 for Battle of the Builders. You might remember when we shared this project last year, Todd still had a lot of work left. In that time he was able to finish the gates, interior, Vintage Air system, cut/buff clear coat, and everything needed to run the twin-turbo Subaru 3.3 L EG33 flat-six. Todd estimates the engine makes around 375 hp on 5 psi or 450 hp on 12 psi of boost. You can view the project’s amazing journey and more photos in the build thread.
