This 1971 Mercury Mk1 Capri was built for drag racing. The chassis was reinforced with square tubing and inside the cab is a 10-point roll cage. Under the hood sits a 5.3 L iron-block LSx V8 with a custom ground ISKY camshaft and BorgWarner S400 T6 turbocharger. The engine produces 600 horsepower on 15 psi of boost which is plenty for the 2,550 lb car. Behind it sits a 4L80-E four-speed automatic transmission with a TransGo HD shift kit and Yank Performance PY3400 stall converter. Out back a Ford 8.8″ rear end from an Explorer sends the power to the rear wheels. The car is currently for sale with an asking price of $12,000 OBO.
