This 1948 Crosley Wagon originally left the factory with a 724 cc CoBra SOHC inline-four that produced 26.5 horsepower. After the wagon was restored by Mike Alford it was sold to professional race car driver Ed Hale swapped out the factory powertrain for one made by Datsun. The seller claims the engine is a 1.6 L L14 which might be possible if Mike increased the displacement (L14 are 1.4 L from the factory) but since they claim it was from a 1977 Datsun it’s probably a 1.6 L L16 inline-four which produces 92 horsepower. Not a bad upgrade for triple the power. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
