Lada Niva with a 2JZ
Never doubt how much motor can be stuffed into a small car. This 2000 Lada Niva (VAZ-2121) has had the 1.6 L or 1.7 L inline-four replaced with a 3.0 L 2JZ-GTE inline-six. The rest of the drivetrain consists of a Supra automatic transmission and Ford 9″ rear end with 3.7 gears. The engine and transmission are running off the factory ECU and wiring harness. On 0.6 bar or 8.7 psi the engine produces 289 horsepower and 314 lb-ft (427 Nm) of torque. The car runs a front suspension and brakes from a Supra and Jaguar XJ6 rear suspension. The ad below shows the car being sold out of Centurion, South Africa but many mentions on social say it is from Russia. If anyone knows more about this car please contact us or leave a comment.
