Custom 1963 Corvette Mud Bogger
This really doesn’t qualify as an engine swap because of all the custom work but it was so wild and unique I had to write about it. What you are looking at is a custom mud bogger called Mud Slinger. The builders started with a custom chassis to which they installed a 572 ci Chevy big-block V8 crate engine which produces 600 horsepower. The rest of the drivetrain consists of a Turbo 400 automatic transmission connected to a NP205 transfer case and then to two Dana 60 diffs. Then they took a highly modified 1963 Corvette Stingray race body and added badges, lights and trim to make it look authentic. They also lengthened the body and lowered the rear part of the roof so it would look proportional with those 54″ tires.
