ICON is Building a Hellcat Powered Superbird

Published in engineswapdepot.com

ICON has been tasked with turning a worn out Plymouth Road Runner Superbird into an amazing performer with modern tech. They are calling the project “The Hellion” because it will be powered by a Hellcat V8. The 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque will go through a NAG1 five-speed automatic transmission and Dana 60 rear. All this will be riding on a custom Art Morrison chassis and four wheel independent suspension. Many of the features found in a modern Hellcat powered Dodge will be carried over, such as launch control, ABS, center touch screen, push start, and key fob. It will be very interesting to see ICON’s design and fabrication in a project such as this.
