Father and son projects are a fun way of bonding while also passing on the automotive bug. This project was a calibration between Ben Verduin and his son Mika from British Columbia, Canada. The project, called “52 Fiper”, started in 2004 when they purchased a 1952 Ford F-1 truck and soon after that a 2004 Dodge RAM SRT10. To fit the 8.3 L Viper V10 and six-speed transmission they needed to widen the cab 24 inches and stretch the body 14 inches. Ben made sure a lot of the ideas for the truck came from his children. He felt their ideas would be more creative and less restricted by preconceived design rules.
