1987 Ferrari 412 with a 812 Superfast V12

OMD built 1987 Ferrari 412 with a F140GA V12

Otsuka Maxwell Design (OMD San Diego) invested 5,000 hours creating the amazing “412 Superfast” at the cost of $1.8 million. The project started with a 1987 Ferrari 412 which is typically powered by a 5.0 L F101 E V12. However Otsuka Maxwell Design swapped a 6.5 L F140GA V12 from a Ferrari 812 Superfast. They converted the motor from direct-injection to port-injection and added individual throttle bodies and custom exhaust manifolds. The motor produces 700+ hp (514+ kW) and 500 lb-ft (677 Nm) of torque to the wheels (E85 fuel) through a Ferrari 599 six-speed transaxle. Otsuka Maxwell Design upgraded the handling using their custom control arms and steering rack, and Ferrari F430 carbon-ceramic brakes. They covered the body in “Superfast Gold” paint and installed Brixton 18-inch wheels under custom metal flares. Otsuka Maxwell Design added custom headlights, tucked bumpers, custom rear spoiler, and 2016 Camaro sideview mirrors. The interior features a Ferrari 512 TR steering wheel, Sabelt carbon fiber seats, and door cards covered in Mongolian cashmere.
