BMW E30 with a Mercedes Diesel Inline-Five

1989 BMW 325i E30 with a Mercedes OM605 turbodiesel inline-five

We found this unique 1989 BMW 325i (E30) on Cars&Bids. The coupe is powered by a 2.5 L Mercedes OM605 turbodiesel inline-five. It features BenzForce rods, KM camshafts and valve springs, Dieselmeken 8 mm mechanical injection pump, Kangaroos Team intake manifold, CXRacing intercooler, and BorgWarner AGP S261 turbocharger. Behind the motor is a DieselPumpUK adapter plate connected to a BMW E90 335i six-speed manual transmission. A custom one-piece driveshaft sends power to a limited-slip differential with a 3.15 ratio. The exterior uses a MTech fiberglass body kit, Depo “smiley” headlights, MHW replica taillights, and Brock 16-inch wheels. The interior features Recaro seats from a VW Jetta GLI Mk2, Renown steering wheel, CAtuned headliner, and KinematicSpeed shifter.
