Toyota MR-S with a turbo 2ZZ inline-four

Justin Gaujenieks and the Close Enough Racing team attended the World Time Attack Challenge 2025. Justin competed in the GCG Open Class with his Toyota MR-S (MR2). The race car is powered by a turbocharged Toyota 2ZZ inline-four tuned by CMS Performance. Th motor is capable of 600 hp (441 kW) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. Beside the motor is a Toyota C64 six-speed manual transmission upgraded with a JUBU Performance gearset and Cusco limited-slip differential. Watch Justin’s lap of 1:35.914 which was good for 8th place in the video below.
