Custom Fiat 126p with a VW Type 4 Motor

Custom Fiat 126p with a VW Type 4 motor

Grant Wager spent 10 months building his custom Fiat 126p. The little car features a 126p body over a VW Beetle chassis/floorpan. Grant shortened the floorpan 16 inches to fit the Fiat body. In the back of the car is a 1800 cc VW Type 4 flat-four paired to a Beetle manual transaxle with VW Bus axles. The fully independent suspension features a widened track of four inches in front and two inches in back. Grant also installed custom skid plates, tubular bumpers, and arches over the offroad tires.
