Red River Customs built this “Cha Cha” 1969 Chevrolet Nova as a tribute to the “First Lady of Drag Racing” Shirley Muldowney. The amazing car will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The car is powered by a 632 ci (10.4L) ZZ632 V8 capable of 1004 hp (738 kW) and 876 lb-ft (1187 Nm) of torque. The motor features a cast iron block with a 4.60-inch bore and 4.75-inch stroke. Inside is a forged steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons, and forged steel H-beam rods. On top is aluminum spread-port heads, Hogan Racing custom intake manifold, and Motion Raceworks Icon throttle body.

The drivetrain tasked with transmitting the motor’s tremendous power starts with a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission. Behind that is a custom 4-inch driveshaft connected to a Dutchman 9-inch independent rear end.

Red River Customs upgraded the car’s handling with SpeedTech Performance’s ExtReme front subframe and ExtReme high mount independent rear suspension. For braking they went with Baer six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors in front and back.
