1968 Charger with a Supercharged 526 ci HEMI

1968 Charger with a Supercharged 526 ci HEMI V8

Neil Reed purchased a 1968 Dodge Charger without a powertrain or interior. In the engine bay he installed a supercharged 526 ci HEMI V8 capable of 950 hp (698 kW) and 880 lb-ft (1193 Nm) of torque. The motor uses an Indy Maxx aluminum block, SR ported heads, BDS 8-71 supercharger, two Holley Super Sniper 4150, CVR Proflow Maximum electric water pump, and TTI exhaust headers. The motor is paired to a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and a 8.75-inch rear end with a 3.71 ratio. Neil improved the handling with a RMS AlterKtion K-member front suspension, subframe connectors, and 4-link rear suspension. Behind the Colorado Custom wheels (18×7, 20×15) are Wilwood six-piston calipers with 14-inch in front and four-piston with 12-inch rotors in back. The interior features custom leather by Sculpt Garage, Colorado Custom steering wheel on an Ididit tilt column, and Holley 12.3-inch digital display.
