The Only Porsche 944 with an Audi 1.8T and John Player Special Livery
Dillon Stevens owns a special Porsche 944. The project started at Motor Werks Racing where they specialize in 944 builds. The company transformed Dillon’s 944 into a 924 GTP Tribute car using a familiar livery and unique powertrain.
At the heart of the project is a turbocharged 1.8 L Audi 20v inline-four. MotorWerks Racing installed the Audi motor using their swap kit. The motor benefits from IE forged rods, AEB big valve head, IE camshafts, dual valves springs, titanium retainers, and BorgWarner turbocharger. It produces 410 hp (301 kW) and 330 lb-ft (447 Nm) of torque to the wheels through a Porsche 987 transaxle and MotorWerks Racing axles.
The 1,835 lb car rides on a suspension featuring MotorWerks Racing steering rack with ERP 997 toe links and Bilstein 10-way adjustable shocks. The rear suspension uses a Porsche 996 subframe with RSS two-piece control arms and RSS adjustable toe links. MotorWerks Racing also added their sway bars front and rear.
On the body MotorWerks Racing installed a 924 GTP one-piece nose and GTP composite quarter flares. Everything was painted black accented by the timeless John Player Special livery. Inside the interior is stripped featuring a Momo steering wheel, six-point roll cage, and Racetech seats with OMP harness.
