Speed Farm Garage Racing a Mid-Engine RWD Mitsubishi Eclipse
James from Speed Farm Garage and his unique 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse returned to Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, ON, Canada for more track time. What sets James’ Eclipse apart from the others is the powertrain layout. In the back of the car is a custom tubular cradle holding a naturally aspirated 3.8 L 6G75 V6 making 329 hp (245 kW) and 288 lb-ft (390 Nm) of torque. The motor features ported intake, custom fuel rails, 1000 cc injectors, RRE headers, and custom exhaust. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a FX400 clutch and Clutchmasters steel flywheel to a six-speed manual transmission. The car rides on Koenig Heliogram 18×9.5-inch wheels with R888R 265/35 tires. Behind those are four-piston calipers with 350×32 mm rotors in front and four-piston rear calipers with 320×32 mm rotors in back. You can view the full specs and follow the project’s progress in the Club4G build thread.
