1961 Ford Galaxie with a Boss Nine V8
American Speed Company built this 1961 Ford Galaxie Starliner called “Bossliner” at their company in Wayne City, Michigan. The classic coupe is powered by a 598 ci (9.7L) Boss Nine V8 built by Jon Kaase Racing Engines capable of 815 hp (607 kW). The big-block motor is paired to a T56 six-speed manual transmission and 9-inch rear end with a 3.90 ratio. The powertrain is supported by a Roadster Shop chassis with a power steering rack, triangulated 4-link rear suspension, and AFCO adjustable coilovers. The body is coated in GM Sonoma Jewel Metallic painted by Motor City Solutions. It features a custom aluminum grill, narrowed and tucked front bumper, and enlarged front wheel wells. Inside those are Schott Modsport D Concave wheels (17×8, 18×10). The interior uses 1965 Galaxie 500XL seats, console, and door panels covered in Chestnut Relicate leather. A modified factory steering wheel sits on an Ididit column in front of Classic Instrument gauges. Read more about the car in HotRod article.
