2012 Mustang with a Boss 302 V8
ScrapLifeLee built this 2012 Mustang GT called “HO$$ 302” in 2024 using parts from a Boss 302 and Boss 302 Laguna Seca. The car eventually was sold to Jared Ferrell at Late Model Restoration (LMR). Under the hood sits a 5.0 L “Road Runner” V8 featuring a forged crank, sinter forged I-beam rods, and aluminum pistons. On top are factory ported heads with higher-lift exhaust camshafts and sodium filled exhaust valves. The V8 sends exhaust through longtube headers, high-flow X-pipe, factory over-axle pipes, and SVE axle-back exhaust. Behind the motor is a T56 six-speed manual transmission, one-piece aluminum driveshaft, and 3.73 ratio rear end. On the LMR dyno, the motor made 442 hp at 7600 rpm and 380 lb-ft at 5300 rpm on 93 octane fuel and Lund Racing tune.
