Pro-touring AMC Gremlin

Published in engineswapdepot.com

You may not think AMC when talking about Pro-touring but Mark Greenisen sure does. This is Mark’s very unique Pro-touring 1972 AMC Gremlin built by Schwartz Performance in Woodstock, Illinois. Schwartz Performance started with one of their G-Machine Camaro chassis and modified it to fit the Gremlin. On to that they installed Ridetech triple-adjustable coilovers and Baer six-piston brakes both front and rear. Under the hood sits a 360 ci AMC V8 with an Edelbrock heads and intake, custom oiling system, modified headers and custom exhaust. The rest of the drivetrain consists of a GM TH350 automatic transmission, custom steel driveshaft and Moser full floating 9″ rear end with a Wavetrac differential. To allow for much larger wheels Schwartz raised the front fender arches and out back widened rear wheel tubs and grafted a pair of front fenders arches to the quarter-panel.
