This 1947 Ford Coupe was built and raced by a club called the Gu Hun’s of the San Fernando Valley and raced from 1957 through 1964. In 1964 it was placed in storage and recently revived. Yes, it runs and drives. The Gu Hun Coupe has a long and well documented history, with known ownership.

The coupe raced C/A, ‘Couple Altered’ class at San Fernando, Bakersfield, Santa Ana, and Long Beach.

The Gu Hun Coupe was known for winning 16 weeks in a row and ran over 100 MPH with Paul Timuri behind the wheel. Yes, I have some of the trophies!

The specifications:

+ 1956 OLDs 324, bored out to 345 This motor was originally installed and ran in the “Bustle Bomb”, the Howard Cams Dragster that was the first to go over 150 MPH. It was built and maintained by Lloyd Scott. The build includes Jahn’s Pistons, Howard Roller Cam, Weiand Valve Covers, Weiand Drag Star 6×2 Aluminum Intake, 6 – 97 Stromberg’s, and a Joe Hunt Magneto.
