Nothing like the aroma of a new set of tires, amiright? But, as much as we talk about the importance of the right size and type of tire as it pertains to drag racing, street racing or just about any type of motorsport, how much do we really know about its history? How it’s actually made? Why it’s made that way?

Tires are much like motor oil: we all have our opinions and rubber is a dang-near religion.
