Hemmings Find of the Day: 1964 Lincoln Continental
1964 Lincoln Continental for sale on Hemmings.com with mystery bullet lodged in the C-pillar. From the seller’s description:
1964 Lincoln Continental, in red-carpet condition and priced to sell!
This car is a real head-turner. Everywhere I drive it, people ask me about it, and lots of them even want their picture taken with it! It’s also perfect for use in motion pictures/videos/etc. I have had several people ask about using it for photo shoots. This car is a time capsule and a true piece of American history!
Elegant mid-century slab design, with a luxe interior in tuxedo black and white. It’s tough to find a Lincoln Continental (especially a ’64) with all of these factory options: power locks, power windows, automatic hi beam sensor/dimmer, am/fm radio with power antenna, interior trunk release, map light, cruise control, intermittent wipers, power seats. This car has original 26,800 miles. This is a daily driver and starts up every time. Seat belts have been professionally installed in front and rear seats.
This car also has a mysterious past: there is a bullethole just above the back window on the driver’s side, with the bullet still lodged in it! I haven’t been able to find out the story behind it, but it’s definitely a conversation starter.
