The organizers at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum have announced two events that will take place at the end of the month.

The “Cheers to 45 Years!” celebration will be a gathering to commemorate the longevity of the Museum which opened its doors July 6th, 1974. Celebrate with the Farm Land Jazz Band and hors d’oeuvres in the Auburn Automobile Company’s original Art Deco Showroom.

The organizers will also bring the Museum back in time to the Roaring 20’s with their Gatsby Gala Ball later this month.

Dress up in your finest 1920’s fashion and prepare to dance the night away to some live big band music. The party will include a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres with music provided by the New Millennium Jazz Orchestra.

“Cheers to 45 Years!” will take place August 29 at 6PM and The Gatsby Gala Ball will take place August 31 from 7:00-11:00 p.m. at the ACD Museum in Auburn, Indiana. Visit their website at www.automobilemuseum.org for more information, or to purchase tickets visit www.acdamstore.com.

Studebaker owners will converge to the Midwest this September as the Richland County Fairgrounds will host back-to-back Studebaker events. Owners of the famous independent automaker from all over the country will bring their Studes to Mansfield for a week of history, fun, bragging rights and camaraderie.

In addition, the custom-built battery-powered coaches dubbed “Tommy and Peg” will be together for the first time in over 80 years. Both were used at the Capitol to transport Senators and Representatives through an underground tunnel connecting the Russell Senate Office Building with the Capitol.

The Antique Studebaker Club will hold their international meet at the fairgrounds September 9-10 followed by the Studebaker Drivers Club International Meet September 11-14. Non-club members are all invited to attend as well to see all of the cars, exhibits and vendors. All types of Studebakers will be there including original, restored, modified and larger, commercial Studebaker trucks.

The Fairgrounds are located in Mansfield, Ohio. For detailed information about the meet, visit www.theantiquestudebakerclub.com and www.sdcmeet.com.
