Hemmings Find of the Day – 1985 Ford Mustang Predator

Published in

Restored 1985 Ford Mustang Predator for sale on From the seller’s description:

modified by Tom Solomon through Solomon America. This is car #5S0126. There is a lot of information on the internet regarding Tom Solomon and his experience modifying Mustangs. He was part of the Shelby and Cobra teams and ventured out on his own with the Mustang Predator projects. Around 135 Predators were created in 1985 and each of them is very unique. This car is the only LX modified with a one of kind paint job. You can see from the pictures, there is a roll bar in the cabin, wooden shift knob, monte carlo bar in the engine bay with Predator and GT302 badging on the valve covers and throughout the car. The GT302 striping was also standard with these cars. My car was restored from the frame up with it’s original paint job and this is a non matching numbers engine. There is a group on facebook who can give you additional details on this car as the origial owners are members there and they have first hand knowledge of the restoration. I have owned this car for 4 years and do not get to drive it often. I feel it would be better to pass it on to another fan of this car so it can be driven and introduced to others.
