Owners of vehicles produced by British marques BMC, Leyland and Rover Group will descend on the British Motor Museum this July for the 2019 BMC and Leyland show. Many clubs will attend the show, with some of them finishing their pre-show cruise at the museum.
Several clubs will observe anniversaries at this year’s show. The British Small Arms (BSA) Front Wheel Drive Club will celebrate 90 years since the first BSA Front Wheel Drive model, while fans of the Morris “Farina” line will honor its 60th birthday.
All attending vehicles are invited to partake in the event’s “show and shine” while a smaller, more specific display will contain 20 endurance and international rally cars from the Historic Marathon Rally Group. Attendees can expect to see a wide variety of models from British brands Austin, Daimler, Leyland, Morris, and Rover, among others.
The BMC and Leyland show will take place on July 7 at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire, United Kingdom. For more information visit BritishMotorMuseum.co.uk.
The Greater New York Citroen and Velosolex Club will celebrate Bastille Day, French National Day, with a cruise around New York city. For the 20th consecutive year, owners of Bugatti, Citroen, Peugeot, Renault, and Velosolex vehicles will gather to celebrate their cars’ French heritage.
In addition to the usual Bastille Day celebrations, the club will be recognizing the 100th year of Citroen Automobiles. The group will drive together from West Harlem down the west side of Manhattan to Greenwich Village before heading north, ending at the bottom of Central Park.
All proceeds and donations from the event will go towards the Washington Heights CORNER Project, an organization that aims to help at-risk individuals “reduce risks associated with drug use and/or sex work including HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis and overdose.”
