Unrestored, 29,000-mile 1975 Chevrolet Corvette for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:
This is a very original, highly documented and unrestored car with ownership history dating back to its delivery date in 1974. It has 28,980 original miles documented by service and inspection receipts over the course of its life.
This car was delivered to Pearl Motor Company located in Mexico, Missouri and sold to the first owner on Nov 26, 1974. One year later it was sold to the second owner who had it for 10 years. It was then purchased by a friend of our family who owned and enjoyed it for another 18 years. In 2002, it was purchased by a doctor who kept it 10 years and then was sold to my father in 2011. It stayed in the central Missouri area for its entire life until I acquired it in 2013 and moved it to Dallas, Texas.
The documentation is incredible and includes the following:
– original dealer invoice, car shipper sheet, build sheet, dealer inspection sheet, warranty pamphlet (with original owner name, Vin, date of purchase), Firestone Tire guarantee warranty pamphlet, 1975 Chevrolet Passenger Care Maintenance pamphlet, Chevrolet Consumer Information pamphlet, owner’s manual. All of this is original and came with the car on the date of purchase.
– also included are the dealer invoice statement and buyer purchase receipt from the second owner.
A31 Power windows

M40 Turbo hydramatic transmission
N37 Tilt-telescopic steering wheel
N41 Variable ratio power steering
UA1 Heavy duty battery
UF1 Map light
U58 AM/FM stereo radio
QRZ GR 70-15B steel belted radial tires (Firestone)
26V VCD2 Dark Blue vinyl
27L Corvette steel blue metallic paint
The motor is believed to be original to the car and still has the original smog equipment. The transmission and rear end are also believed to be original to the car. The dark blue vinyl interior and dash are original and in excellent condition, what you would expect from a car with very low mileage. I’m pretty sure the carpet is also original.
Other features include factory T-tops that come with the original individual protective storage covers, a chrome luggage rack and the original spare tire. Although not functional, I kept the original spare tire for nostalgic reasons.
In 1978, the second owner replaced the original wheels with the 1978 Corvette Pace Car wheels (receipt included with documentation). One of the past owners also dressed up the engine bay with a classic set of grooved aluminum valve covers. Fortunately, he kept the original Chevy orange valve covers which I have along with a few other parts. The original AM/FM radio was also replaced years ago with a Motorola AM/FM radio and cassette player.
The car drives great and has a comfortable ride. New BF Goodrich Radial TA tires were added last year and are like new. The engines smokes from a cold start and then clears up after driving for a while. As with most old cars, there are a few leaks under the car. I have not had a chance to pinpoint the origin at this time.
My family has enjoyed this car for several years. In fact, my father and I drove it on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2013 and completed the “long hauler” tour, covering over 2500 miles in 7 days and it performed perfectly. It’s very rare to find an original car with very low miles and documentation like this one.
