1953 Lincoln Capri 2 Door Coupe, This Capri was orignially owned by race car driver Duane Carter and used as his chase car for the 1953 Mexico Panamara Race. It was owned by several members of the Carter family and restored at one point for a family wedding. It’s in very good original/restored condition. Rust free structure and sheet metal apart from some corrosion in the bottom of the battery box (picture provided) as a result of leaked battery acid over the years. Currently registered and runs well. Carb was rebuilt in the last six months. Original Y-Block V8, working power seat, manual widows, stearing and brakes. Dual Optima 6 volt batteries for increased cranking power. Comes with a large supply of parts, including new complete wiring harness, 2 power brake boosters with master cylinders, exhaust manifolds from a 55 Capri to convert car to dual exhaust, rebuilt generator and water pump, 2 distributors, and much much more. Lots of original paperwork including the original, noterized bill of sale signed by Duane Carter. Car was on the cover and featured in the June 2012 Viva Carrera Magine which is published by the Road Race Lincoln Register.
