Published in

Restomod 1968 Dodge Super Bee for sale on From the seller’s description:

Vehicle has been restored as a tribute to the Super Bee prototype show car that was displayed at the 1968 Detroit Auto Show. This vehicle was created by Dodge design team member Harvey Wynn, and custom car builders Mike and Larry Alexander. This is a one
of one vehicle. The original prototype was built with a 383 engine and automatic transmission, and yellow in color. This vehicle has been upgraded to triple black color combination, and a 440 Cu. In. engine with four speed transmission. The donor car for
this restoration was a 1968 Coronet 500 convertible with a 318 engine and A904 automatic transmission. This vehicle is rare in it’s own right. Only 1,557 were built in 1968. The exterior, interior, top, engine and drivetrain have been totally disassembled and rebuilt or restored. The suspension has been restored. The floor pans and underside of vehicle are not body color. They have been refinished in frame black to replicate factory appearance. Rust free Virginia car until 2011. Estimated build or replacement cost is
$55,000, which coincides with appraised value.

In present condition, this vehicle is capable of competing successfully in expositions, displays, exhibits, or shows. This vehicle is not driven as daily transportation. This is a special use vehicle.
