Restored 1967 Alfa Romeo 1600 Giulia Sprint GT Veloce for sale on From the seller’s description:

This 1600 Giulia Sprint GT Veloce has a production date of 12/6/1967, and was invoiced to Alfa Romeo’s US distributor in Newark, NJ on 12/28/1967. New U.S. Government-mandated automobile safety and emissions regulations were scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 1968, and Alfa Romeo knew that its cars would not be ready in time to be certified for sale as 1968 U.S. models. There were a few late 1967 U.S. version cars, such as this particular GTV, which were manufactured with a preview of what would become updates used on its eventual successor, the 1750 GTV. These features included a one-piece shift lever, beefier front control arm mounting points, and Ate brakes which replaced the less-effective Dunlop disc brakes of the earlier cars. Additionally, somewhere in this car’s life, the rear axle was replaced with a limited slip differential which in later years became standard on U.S.-version 2000 GTV’s. One of the most distinguishing features of the original 1600 body, the Step Nose or Scalino styling, would also be phased out when Alfa transitioned to the 1750 model.

This Step Nose GTV is part of a significant museum collection of Post War sports cars. It is aesthetically very nice from top to bottom, having had a cost-no-object cosmetic paint and body restoration completed in 2009, and has been driven sparingly since. The red paint shows beautifully and is in excellent overall condition, and is complimented by the original exterior brightwork trim. The engine runs strong and shows no signs of leaks, and does not smoke. A compression test was recently performed and showed even, high-pressure readings across each of the four cylinders. The five-speed gearbox shifts smoothly from first or third up or down into second gear right from start-up. The interior has been replaced with updated materials of the correct-pattern vinyl. The original steering wheel has been retained and has been recently restored as well.
