Police package 1977 Plymouth Gran Fury for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:

Genuine police package 1977 Plymouth Gran Fury with original 440 engine and HD 727 trans.

These cars are becoming very very hard to come by, especially complete and in this condition with ownership history. This was Lea County NM Sheriff s’ special ordered personal unmarked car during its time in service and has one civilian owner since (I am 2nd). Car has spent most of its life parked in a dry climate. NO wrecks or rust and still shows its factory undercoating. solid

This Plymouth comes with all the heavy duty police package-spec options you’d expect such as the reinforced frame, new dual exhaust, 85 amp alternator, heavy duty brakes, 3.23 posi traction 9.25 rear axle, 7” rims, 1“ antiroll bar, dual snorkel air cleaner, quick ratio steering with extra cooling goodies like a three core radiator, factory oil, steering and transmission coolers. The car is in remarkable condition for its age. It has the things typical of a police package including the rubber flooring, “certified” 140 MPH speedometer, dual oil & temp gauge, rear window defrost, single key option, pushbutton trunk opener, ticket light, hand throttle , prisoner rear door locks, fuel off load system, oil filler tube, tinted glass, AC/heat and correct Unity spotlight mounted on the driver side A-pillar. While in service it had equipment mounted on the floor between the driver & passenger, it also has an extra antenna on the rear quarter panel (presumably) for police stuff.

The car runs, shifts, drives, stops perfect with 81k miles correctly showing on the original driveline. Engine compression is well within spec, shows no blowby and runs quietly and strong. Glass is excellent and all doors and regulators work as designed. Car has new professional paint including door jams, under hood and trunk in correct EW1 spinnaker white. All of the hood, trunk and door seal rubbers are intact and in great condition. The interior is like new with the best interior parts from two complete sets installed. Both front and rear seats have been professionally recovered in matching light blue vinyl. The headliner and the flooring is complete and in good condition, there is some minor cracking to the rubber flooring in places and has been preserved. It has original jack and a newer spare tire. The best parts off two K code police donor cars are on this car and many extra parts are included ie front and rear bumpers, front header/grill/headlight/bezel, lean burn computer, complete blue interior, lots of odds and ends etc. You pick from the pile.
