Hemmings Find of the Day – 1972 Chevrolet Vega GT

Published in

SBC-powered 1972 Chevrolet Vega GT for sale on From the seller’s description:

This sporty 1972 Vega GT is finished in Bright Yellow and features contrasting Black sport striping. A Georgia car, this Vega’s finish has a beautiful luster that is further accentuated by chrome and brightwork that is in excellent condition. A rear spoiler adds additional flair, as do its brand new Center Line wheels wrapped with brand new tires. Tinted glass and GT badging complete the package.

The interior of this GT features bucket seats in Black velour with matching interior door panels. A floor mounted shifter and a wood-grained and chrome steering wheel further enhance this Vega’s sporty air. The upholstery, carpeting, dashboard, and headliner are all in very good condition. You’ll also appreciate this car’s factory tachometer and updated Audiovox AM/FM stereo with cassette.

Under this hood you’ll find a stock 1975 SBC 350 CID V-8 mated to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. A seldom seen model, this rare GT came from the factory with the F-41 handling suspension, including front and rear stabilizer bars. New rear traction bars and other suspension components will keep you firmly planted on those twisty-two lanes, and new power front disc brakes will provide all the stopping power you’ll need. Best of all, this Vega runs and drives as well as it looks.
