Convertiblized 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe for sale on From the seller’s description:

This is a 1978 Lincoln Town Coupe that was made into a fully servicable power top convertible. These cars were done like this back in the day; I’ve owned probably 4 or 5 of them. They ride like a virtual cloud. There is nothing like the ride of these cars … especially the Lincoln. This is a pretty decent car all the way around for its age and miles. The body is in really good condition but in need of a paint job. I’ve shown some things in the still pictures and video where the paint is flawed. The car is nice and straight. It has been painted, probably several times, in it’s lifetime. The leather interior is actually very, very nice. The dashboard is not cracked anywhere. Look at the door frames in the pictures and video. They are clean and in good condition. There are a couple of paint imperfections as I have shown in the still pictures and video as I walk around the car. Everything does work on the car; all four power windows and two front power seats function properly as do all the lights and brakes.

Someone has just put a new set of shocks for opening the truck, but the lid is not aligned correctly; it goes up and down properly but there is a gap that needs to be adjusted. The same thing is true with the hood; it goes up and down fine but there is a gap that needs to be ajjusted. Tires are reasonable, probably 60%. What I like about this car is that it has a very straight side. The little vent windows go up and down along with the window going up and down, kind of an oddity with these cars.

The top has a couple of lines of stitches that are coming undone but it does not leak in anyway; the rear window is very cloudy but you could probably clear it with one of those window repair kits or you could replace the rear window. The top does not leak; the windows go up and meet it very well.

The motors runs very well. It starts right up and runs strong with a smooth, pillowy ride.
