Unrestored 1971 Datsun 521 pickup for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:
This is a desert vehicle and has been in Arizona since I bought it new (still has the original exhaust system with no leaks. Hurray for dry air)! The truck now has approximately 179800 miles. It has been parked more than driven for the past several years, and it is time to let someone give the vehicle a renewed life.
It is currently licensed and occasionally driven, and passes Arizona emissions standards. The engine was removed from the truck and overhauled at approximately 100,000 miles.
The truck has factory air conditioning which, at the time, was installed at port of entry. It is an R-12 system and currently not functioning.
The metal parts are solid with only surface rust in areas where the original paint has faded and worn away. The rubber parts need replacing because the sun and heat have taken their toll. Seats need re-padding and recovering. The dash is cracked and needs a new cover. The instruments are all functioning.
The pictures show after-market wheels, a sliding rear window, and an aftermarket back bumper. I have the original wheels, window, and bumper to restore the original look of the vehicle. All of the glass is good.
This is a great vehicle for restoration or modification. I just don’t have the time or resources to complete the job myself.
