Clean 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Aerocoupe for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:
T-Tops, numbers matching, only 37,246 miles. Adult enthusiast owned, always garage kept, never modified or abused. Price reduced 4/26: Need the garage space for another classic.
This particular car is finished in the rarely seen combination of 12U Metallic Silver over Grey upholstery and is extensively optioned. The majority of the 6,052 Aerocoupes produced were sold in a very 1980s shade of Maroon, with a handful escaping the factory in Black, Silver or White. The paint is in fabulous condition, as are the original SS graphics. There is no cracking, peeling or fading in the striping or SS lettering. Panel gaps are excellent throughout, including the finicky plastic fillers at the front and rear of the car. All of the glass appears to be original and shows the factory Soft Ray etching, including the irreplacable rear window which gives the car its “Aerocoupe” name.
After doing some research, I am led to believe that this Aerocoupe included every single factory option with the exception of power seats. A few highlights from the original Service Parts Identification tag in the trunk include:
L69: 305 cubic inch H.O. V8, 4BBL
F41: HD Suspension, Firm Ride
G80: Positraction Rear Differential
GT4: 3.73 Gears
UX1: Delco AM/FM Radio w/ Stereo, Electronic Seek/Scan, 5-Band Graphic Equalizer (Rare)
U66: 4 Speakers w/ Extended Range
C49: Rear Defroster
N33: Tilt Wheel
TR9: Auxiliary Lighting, Lamp Group (including neat courtesy lights for the rear occupants)
K39: Auto Cruise Control
In addition to these options, it has everything else you want: Air conditioning, Heat, Power locks, Power windows, Power steering, Power brakes. The car includes its original Owner’s Manual and warranty information card, two OEM T-Top covers, and its unused spare tire.
Approximately $1,900 was spent in April 2017 to make necessary improvements. The right rear axle seal was replaced, and the rear drum brakes were rebuilt. New brake lines to the wheel cylinders were fabricated and the entire system was flushed. The drive belts were replaced, including three V-belts and the serpentine belt.
