Date: circa 1949

The building was new in 1947 and was a Studebaker dealership until he switched to Dodge – Plymouth for 1950. Another change to Buick in 1956, which was not a good move given the 1958 recession. Fortunately in 1957 he started selling some funny looking cars that nobody had ever heard of. They were called Volvos. In 58 the dealership moved to an annex in East Greenwich without Buick and things got a lot better. The building still exists but has been completely changed to offices or something.
