Hemmings Find of the Day – 1948 Packard Super Eight victoria convertible

Published in

From the seller’s description:

1948 super eight convertible victoria, 22nd series

It was my grandmothers car which she restored in the 80’s, parked it under a carport and used it very little. I acquired it and started restoring it again a couple years ago.

Since I’ve had it most everything you can’t see has been replaced or refurbished. The transmition has been rebuilt with the overdrive and electromatic clutch working without issue. All the hydraulic cylinders have been replaced which allows all the power windows, power top, and power seat to work. The guages have all been replaced and work. I did not however replace the clock or AM radio. The fuel tank and radiator have been cleaned and tested. I put a new tires, a new wireing harness and lots of other parts on since I’ve had it.

The exterior could use some attention. The paint and top are from the 80’s. The top needs to be replaced and the paint has faded with chips.

The car is in excellent working condition but visually needs some help.
