Hemmings Find of the Day – 1928 Ford Model A party truck
True, this 1928 Ford Model A party truck for sale on Hemmings.com is less collector car than it is a fun and innovative business idea (and, given the timespan of Prohibition, rather anachronistic), but who wouldn’t want to see one of these at their car club picnic or at the end of a long day of touring? In fact, it’s downright surprising we don’t see more of these. From the seller’s description:
professionally designed and converted to be a rolling party machine. The sides flip up to reveal a fold down bar, a flat screen TV wired for satellite and 2 taps. It also contains a commercial cooler capable of handling two 16 gallon kegs, or smaller, and the necessary CO2 equipment. The equipment can be plugged into a standard 120v outlet or run on the included generator. The original engine has been replaced with a 1970’s era Pinto 2.3 liter engine. The truck is titled but not registered. I move it to the party location on a flat bed trailer.
