In 2015, vehicles from Porsche’s “Rolling Museum” made over 280 appearances at events stretching from Europe to North America to China. The museum’s 2016 schedule is equally crowded, with events that will put museum cars on public roads and race tracks around the world from April through September.

The opening event, to which Porsche will be sending a 1955 356 Speedster and a 1956 356 A coupe, is the California Mille, scheduled to run from April 24-28. Like its Mille Miglia namesake, the rally stretches for 1,000 miles, covering the back roads of Northern California instead of the roads between Brescia and Rome, Italy. The California Mille represents the only scheduled North American appearance of vehicles from Porsche’s Rolling Museum in 2016.

From May 5-8, Porsche will be participating in the Targa Florio Classica, supplying a 1958 356 Speedster and a 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the brand’s first win at the Sicilian event. This year also marks the 100th running of the endurance classic, which ended as a road race following the 1977 running, reappeared as a rally event and later emerged as one of the world’s premier vintage time-speed-distance rallies.

May will also see the Stuttgart automaker’s museum sending cars to the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, scheduled for May 13-15. Open exclusively to vintage grand prix cars, Porsche will supply a 1962 Formula 1 car and a 1960 Formula 2 car. The following month, on June 3-4, the museum will participate in the Paul Pietsch Classic, run in Germany’s Black Forest, with a 944 Turbo convertible.
