Mazda RX-7 with a Diesel BMW Inline-Six

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Arnold Jaguszewski bought a Mazda RX-7 shell to rebuild into a unique car he drive on the streets of Poland. He considered swapping a Miata 1.6 L inline-four with a turbocharger in the engine bay. Arnold settled on using a turbocharged 3.0 L M57D30 diesel inline-six from a BMW E39. The motor is making 270 hp (198 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. Arnold also used a BMW manual transmission and rear differential with custom axles. The powertrain is supported by custom mounts and subframes. Arnold also installed a C-West bodykit and carbon fiber wing. Listen to him explain the project to Nightride in the video below.
