WATCH THIS: Marauding over the hills and far away

Published in blog.hemmings.com

Here at Muscle Machines Weekly, we’re all about, well, muscle. And one of the things we love more than most – the stuff we look forward to…what gets us outta bed in the morning…is finding the oddball stuff. Sure, we all love Camaros and Mustangs and Chevelles, but we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: muscle freaks cannot live on pony cars, alone.

And it’s with that in mind that we bring you a great little 10 minutes of tastiness from our buddy, Afshin, and his merry band of raconteurs over at Petrolicious: Steve Dauria’s ’64 Mercury Marauder. Is it just us or do these full-bodied hardtops just make the coolest race cars? Leave all the tonnage of trim and bumper fore and aft, add a set of widened and painted steelies, cut-in a pair of cut-outs and terrorize the Cracker Barrel parking lot right after church on a Sunday afternoon.

Marauder, indeed.
