Custom 1939 Cadillac with a LT1

Chip Foose Design is finishing their “Madam X” project for owners Wes and Vivian Rydell. The projects is based on a 1935 concept drawing for a 1937 Cadillac Sixty Special by Art Ross. Chip and company started with a 1939 Cadillac Sixty Special sedan and converted it to a two-door design with a removable hard top.

Powering the custom will be a 6.2 L LT1 V8 backed with a 8L90E eight-speed automatic transmission from a Cadillac Escalade. Finishing out the drivetrain is a rear end from a Camaro ZL1. The car will ride on from and rear independent suspensions from a C6 Corvette.

Chip will unveil the car at the BASF boost (#20367) in the main hall of SEMA 2016 on November 1st at 12:30 pm.
