Baja Karmann Ghia

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This 1964 VW Karmann Ghia (chassis #6337581) was built in the late 70’s to compete in the 1979 and 1981 Baja 1000. It originally came from the factory with a 1200 cc flat-four but was upgraded or completely swapped for another motor for racing. Sometime between 2013-2015 the racing motor was replaced with a dual port 1600 cc flat-four to be a little more friendly on the street. The car won a Coolest Off Road award at Sacramento Bugorama 2013 in the September or May event. If anyone knows more about this project please contact us or leave a comment.
